Quilts started this last year and just finished:

This is the transportable rope bed we got the pattern for online from http://www.greydragon.org/furniture/beds/ropebed.html. It's a little tall but we like it that way so we can store the boys toys in totes underneath it in the toy room and when they aren't here you won't see them.
We actually have all the holes drilled now and an Ebany stain applied. We are using 3/8" rope. I have the feather mattress ordered. I got an awesome one in clearance at http://www.shopdownlite.com/

Sometimes you just have to take a break from playing with wood and trim the lawn! You are such an awesome hubby!

My queen size quilt top made with Barb Brackmans Sesquiteniel Civil War block of the week group.

My second queen size quilt top made with Barb's SCW blog for Karen and Ben's anniversary.

My "Come Sail With Me" quilt tip is finally done!
The border is done in the Nautical Alphabet and it says "Come sail with me, The best is yet to be". Made for Don because he has retired and will now be at home with me. (When he is not helping Frank at the motorcycle shop).

Made for Lee and Melinda's little guy, Logan! Congrats to my nephew and his wife!

Big Move!

This is little Chayim Hofmann, our youngest grandson who holds his Papa's heart right in the palm of his sticky little fingers. One of our great joys in life!

From the VA Hospital grounds housing in July of '09 to my daughter and her family's move to thier new home in the country , this has been a busy and changing year for my husband and I. We have done the 2 1/2 hour trip at least once a week since they have moved last July and just finished helping them move into their new home this past week. The plan was to head back to the New England area as soon as my son-i-l finished his fellowship but the VA offered him a great job and they are staying in Marion. We are currently installing a new bathroom in our home in Bedford so we can put our house on the market and join them. It is so hard to be away from the grands for anything more than 48 hours. So quilting has been slow going since they first moved. I am working on a new design that is dear to my heart and am loving the way it is coming together.

Had a great time with the sisters in NY this summer. We are Candy, me, Suzie, Jill and Kathleen. I sure wish we all lived closer though. There is nothing as great as family!

I made some pj's for Levi and Jaron this week and took them up. They loved them, will try to remember to get a pic. I had to pic up the boys at school so Karen could take the "Itty Bitty Boy" to his dr. apt. in Indy. He got four shots. Karen cut the boys hair last night and Bitty wanted his cut so he got his First haircut. Ohhhh! A sad day!
Jett, Paul, Amy and Amy's sister Terry and her friend Adam both from Wisconsin, came over for steak and dogs last night and brought tons of Wisconsin cheese and decadant chocolate desert. They played pool, foose ball and table hockey and Jett and I played and had a tea party. He didn't want to go at the end of the night. I have four really sweet grand boys!

Well I'm working on some pants for Karen today. I have a Jan Patek quilt that I am in the process of Big Stitching. So maybe some of that will get done while Don watches the races.

Pumpkin in the pumpkin guts!

Jett, Paul's 4yr old, got his pumpkin carved and did a great job!

Levi carved the Alian, Ben carved the traditional face and Jaron carved the shark!

The boys loved throwing seeds at Chayim, cause they would stick to him and he thought it was soooooo funny!

I love this time of year and the fall colors always amaze me. God is so awesome! Creation cries out how glorious He is and speaks so loudly of His wonderful majesty. It has been a wonderful year and I am so thankful for His closeness!

The kids put this video of Chayim on You Tube and I love it!
