Our kitchen was built by the Amish from Odon and we love it! They did an awesome job for us. It is so me!

Everything Don and I wanted, is what we got. We will be selling and moving back to the New England area sometime in 2010 but we are enjoying it for now. Some one is going to get a very special kitchen.

Now to finish the wash room to co-ordinate!

New kitchen and "Light The Night"

Rusty Atwood is my hero- he came to our rescue and is skim coating the walls for us. I don't know how we would of kept on schedule if it weren't for him! I have one week when he is done to get all the painting done. May the Lord bless him big time!

Here we are in the middle of our kitchen renovation. The kitchen had been papered over the sheet rock without being sealed first.
What a mess we had to take it off.

The boys sure had a good time at "Light the Night" at church
last night. It is our alternative to Trick or Treat. They played
lots of games and went home with lots of candy!

Boos and Bikes!

Chayim is growing so fast. Still not sleeping enough for Mommy to get rested but made the transition into his own room and new bed this week. Hopefully that will help.
He is finding new sounds every day and turning into a chatterbox with big smiles. How we adore him!
His our sweet little pumpkin! This was Mommy and Daddy's idea in the pumpkin- not the Papa who is holding him up!

We had a fun pumpkin carving day this year as the boys didn't get to go to their Granny's in Arkansas. I don't know who had more fun, the little kids or the 'big kids'.

Our quiet little Jaron is turning into
Mr. Personality. He keeps us in stitches!

Papa saves change and uses it on the boys and this time the boys used it to get new bikes. Although Jaron still prefers to ride his little hot wheels.

My computer is back!

Boy have I ever learned a lesson on backing up my hard drive. I thought I would never have a problem but I did and almost lost all my precious files. But Tim Wray put in a new hard drive for me and copied all the files over to the new one. I am soooo grateful! Thank you Tim!!!

So here are a couple pics of the grandkids this fall....

Trip to Aquarium in KY. So fun!

Elsie's lunch!

We all had a good time at the Aquarium last Saturday, 9/20. Ben had to go to Cinncinnatti, OH to pick a metal lathe so we all went along and spent the day in KY at the aquarium. It was a fun day!

The wedding of Chris and Jenn LaValley

What a wonderful time I had seeing all of my family at the wedding of Chris and Jennifer LaValley this past Saturday. Chris is the middle son of my sister Kathleen's five boys. Kathleen and her husband Lee live in the family home in Ellenburg Center, where we all grew up. I think Mom and Daddy would have loved to see us all gathered there for her little Chrissy's wedding. And what a sweet girl Chris has married. They will be heading for Germany soon with the Army.

Here are my brothers and sisters. Top-left: Billy, Suzie, Jill, me and Robby. Bottom-left: Kathleen and Candy. I am the second oldest, Candy being the first. Then Suzie, Robby, Billy, Jill, Kathleen and Peter the youngest ( who couldn't make it). It was a wonderful day!

Chayim Xavier Hofmann has arrived

Daddy Ben with Chayim right after birth.

Chayim Xavier Hofmann was born August 4, 2008. He weighed 8lb7oz and was 21 inches long. All went really well for Karen and Chayim is a very quiet content little man. Granny and Grampa Matt Hofmann were here from Little Rock, AR for Chayim's arrival but had to leave this morning for VT. They have a working vacation and will spend a month delivering gifts to their supporters for Family Life Ministry. We will see them again on their return trip.

Levi, Chayim's big brother of 6 1/2 years, is smitten with his little brother, as is big brother Jaron who is 4 1/2 years old.

The boys got to stay with their Papa and me until their Mommie and Daddy could bring Chayim home. We had a good time.
Ben is putting in a new bathroom at their house so they had been staying with us for July. What a joy that was. They still come over daily to take baths until the tub is in, so I get lots of hugs.

We are headed up to Chateaugay, New York tomorrow to see Don's dad. He is in a nursing home now and is still holding his own. We sure wish we lived closer to family. My sister Jill is living in our hometown now, Ellenburg Depot. We actually grew up in Ellenburg Center, which is just a few miles away. Jill and Andy are renting the apartment over our sister's garage. I am so excited to see them. I am bringing all the fixings for us to make quilted pot holders while I am up there. We always have something crafty to do while we are together. I made this wall hanging for Jill to bring up.
She loves and collects bears. Hope she will like it!

Well I have lots of things to do today to get ready for our trip tomorrow, so ta ta for now.

Always remember that Christ loves you with an unending love and that if God gave His son as a sacrifice for our sins, how much more would He give to them that love Him.
May He bless you richly today,
Pam

This is the Hofmann boys enjoying a little 4th of July with sparklers!

I am finally getting over the worst bronchitis and coughing. But we had Karen & Ben's family living with us the whole time I have been sick so it was also the best, best time at the same time. I think the Amish have the right idea of the grandparents living in an adjoining house when they get older. There is nothing like having your children and their little ones around to fill your life with love and joy. I am really going to enjoy Karen not working and coming over more often. She had contractions 6 min. apart for over an hour last night so Chayim is wanting out I think.

Diane McClendon from marketing at Kansas City Star, said my book "Dinosaurs....." is back from the publishers and looks awesome, so I can't wait to get mine so I can pass a few out.

Pauly's new toy!

Paul dropped by with his new motorcycle tonight. He was pretty happy. It's a great looking bike but I couldn't tell you anymore than that. I love to see him happy and like his Dad and I, he loves to ride.

Dinosaurs Stomp Chomp and Roar

Well I have finished DINOSAURS STOMP AND ROAR, my second quilt book and it is on it's way to the printers. Levi and Jaron are excited that some of their dinosaurs are on the cover. Chomper is the name of the dinosaur sitting on the bed on the cover. There wasn't enough room in the book for the instructions and patterns but I am going to make up a pattern for it and maybe offer it on this site if there is interest.

Today I am working on a wall hanging for my little sis Jill who just moved back to our childhood home town. I am so excited for her. She loves bears and I had to add to collection.

It's my 57th Birthday!

I promised the boys that I would have a piniata' for my birthday this year and we had all the kids over. We tired Karen right out. She is due to deliver next month and it doesn't really take much to tire her now. The boys loved getting all the stuff out of the T-Rex. What a nice birthday it was for me. The only thing that would be better would be to have my Mom and sisters here and Donnie's Mom and Dad here.

"Sweet Inspirations"

"Sweet Inspirations"
It's hard to believe a year has gone by already. I loved doing this book. Now I have "Dinosaurs, Stomp, Chomp & Roar" coming out in July. Where has the time gone. The grandboys are growing soooo fast! Levi is graduating from Kindergarten this coming Wed. and he says he has a surprise for us and we will be so proud of him. I couldn't actually be more proud of him. He has learned and grown so much in this last year. I am so proud of who he is becoming. He is becoming such a good big brother too. He loves his bubby Jaron and Jaron loves his bubby too. I think Jaron is a little more independent than Levi. Levi loves to be with people. If you change rooms, he does too. I can't believe he can read so well already. He is very smart. And Jaron. What a wonderful heart he has. Oh how I love these boys! Today I made Levi a super hero's costume. He is the Fire Hero, with the fire of the Holy Spirit. Jaron is going to be the Water Hero, with the water of the Holy Spirit. I am the Wind Hero, with the Wind of the Holy Spirit!!!

New book in the works- "DINOSAURS, STOMP, CHOMP & ROAR"

We went to Kansas City on Thurs. to shoot the photos for the "Dinosaurs, Stomp, Chomp & Roar" and got back late Friday night- like 2 a.m. The photo shoot for the new book was awesome. Judy and Aaron were wonderful to work with as usual and Brian the designer spoke my language. I just loved him. I was so blessed to see the Lord orchestrating it before me. We did a complete photo shoot in the studio and then Judy offered Diane's house she is renting from Judy to do a photo shoot in one of her bedroom's. They all pitched in and brought enough furnishing to shoot a little boy's room. Jaron had given his Nonny a bag full of Dinosaur's to dress up the shoot, including the stuffed T-Rex I made for him that they said HAD to be in the book too. What a fun day.
Don and I were bushed when we headed for Indiana. The night before tornadoes went through KC and Independence where we were staying, about a mile from the Motel. What a night. I lay awake for most of the night praying for those who might have had damage. NO one was killed and I was thankful, unlike South Carolina where six were killed this week in tornadoes. You could here the air being sucked out of our room under the door and the siren was going off when the tornado was going through. Too close for me!
I have a few corrections to make for Judy and send back this week. I am supposed to get the templates this week but maybe Monday.
The boys spent the afternoon with me and we went to McDonald's. I just love those boys. Karen and Ben went to a movie and baby clothes shopping. Next week it will be my turn. It will be so wonderful to have a new little soul to love on and give those little neck kisses and smell those sweet baby smells.
Well time for devotions before Donnie gets home. Life is good!
And OH what fun it was to go garage sale-ing with Karen today. I got a box full of new wool. I think I'm in heaven. Judy Bowman's sale. What a sweetie! I spoke last night at a mother-daughter dinner, giving my healing testimony and how I got into making quilts and books. I cried and they all said they enjoyed it. I don't know why the Lord would have me speak but I am so thankful for all he has done in my life over the years that I can't say no. He is everything to me. I would not want to exist without Him.
Thank you Lord.
